Collagraph printing.

I’m totally blown away by this technique. My first prints were a revelation of texture, embossing, colour and are spellbinding just to look at. All the patterns created hold endless possibilities for use in collages.

What to do with the 8 or so I printed off?

When I was looking hard at the dark brown print I began to see the Easter Island heads and also the south American gods with their big hooked noses (I think they’re South American!).

I am planning to cut out the “found” Easter Island heads and incorporate them into a painting giving striking, ancient-textured rocks. Instant drama.

Other possibilities are

craggy mediterraenean houses and textured rocky walled courtyards. An exciting world of different creative ideas.
