My next wood block carving printed - very happy with it. This was an image…
The first 20 prints.
The tweaks finally sorted.
It’s taken about 20 experimental pages to finally get the look I want. And another 20 to achieve results I’m happy with. Thank goodness for the Warehouse’s cheap paper supplies. I have a very ‘Heath Robinson’ setup on my printer bed – but it’s providing the results.
Coloured paper was a successful idea.
The glossy paper adds more colour and contrast to the two colour palette. I’ll probably use some more textured paper to add interest if I do any more.
The potentials of printing.
There are so many ideas in my head of variations in colours, textures and a bit of collage additions to enhance the original prints.
The hours of carving pay off.
Now I have a way of diversifying from the original art work idea. I’m very excited at the future potential of printing in all it’s forms.
