The first – The Great Christmas Market.

This market is held in the wonderful Founders Heritage Park. The weather was perfect. The many visiting shoppers enjoyed a satisfying day choosing from an impressive selection of hand-crafted gifts. The friendly marketeers greeted the browsers and happily pointed out the many features of their products. The first wave of customers remarked they were doing a quick circuit and after a bracing coffee would be back.

Coffee and food.

Families and friends gathered under the shady trees sharing news and a coffee while they savoured the food-carts’ choices for lunch. As a stall holder I couldn’t check out all that was on offer. So while someone watched my stall I headed for the shortest queue and grabbed a yummy potato cake topped with melted cheese.

My neighbours.

Having fun with my neighbouring stall holders adds to the pleasure of the day. They are always very diverse, outgoing people and if the chance, between customers, arises we share our histories and the journey behind the creations we are selling.
